I have heard so much and read so much from Christians lately about their "indignation" or how upset they are over the recent comments and rumors of Homeland Security cracking down on "right-wing" or conservative organizations and yet what REALLY has bothered me the past 2 days is that NO ONE has even once suggested a corporate time of intense prayer in regards to these things that are happening. So - I AM!!!! I believe that the time for those who truly follow Christ and claim to be HIS children to humble themselves and pray is NOW!!!! We cannot and will not see change until we are SERIOUS about prayer. I am not talking the type of prayer that is issued out of selfish ideas or motives or even vengence toward evil - I am talking the type of prayer that is called for in 2 Chronicles 7:14.
Who are we that we cry injustice or this isn't what America is all about? Who are we to think that we deserve any better than this? Christ himself was persecuted, ridiculed, beaten and killed for OUR transgressions - yet we think an outcry of injustice is the answer? Christians - HUMBLE YOURSELVES AND PRAY!!!! SEEK HIS FACE AND TURN FROM YOUR WICKED WAYS.....then HE WILL HEAR and HE WILL HEAL YOUR LAND!
Christ in the most important times of His life here on Earth spent INTENSE time in prayer - IF HE NEEDED IT THEN HOW MUCH MORE DO WE? I am not saying "oh just sit back and pray and it will all be okay" - if the Lord leads you AFTER intense prayer and seeking Him to do something tangible toward change then GO FOR IT but PLEASE don't just cripe and complain and act indignant without humbling yourself in prayer! We act surprised by the events taking place in our world and yet God in His Word says all these things will happen!!!!!
I personally am dedicating myself to DAILY, INTENSE prayer for the state of our nation. This is what HE has laid on my heart - I am opening an invitation to any and all who would like to join me. I am not sure how long this time will last - but I do know that it is the key to revival in our land!!!
