Guess What? Yes - more snow AGAIN for us.

I am just in awe as I look outside any window in my home and all I see is WHITE snow. Starting Friday night and continuing through this morning we had another MAJOR snow storm hit our community. We have about another 23 in of NEW snow bringing the total accumulation in our yard to about 4 feet.

Last night coming home after the Super Bowl we got stuck THREE times in our neighborhood - it was nuts! Then when we finally made it to our drive way we had to shovel, got stuck again, and shoveled some more. Joel spent all morning and a good part of the afternoon just shoveling the driveway and walkway to our house. I got the lovely job of clearing of the trampoline (the one everyone said would be fine because winters are mild!) It took me about an hour to get all the snow off of it!

However - in spite of the inconveniences of shoveling and getting stuck we have really had a wonderful weekend. Saturday my Aunt, Uncle, Cousin and her daughter came out and we all trudged through the snow to go sledding! The best was watching my Dad go down the hill - it was great! Then Sunday our church had a wonderful service and potluck. Following that we went out to some friends house to watch the big game! We are so blessed to be in a church where there are families our age that we are building friendships with. Finally - because of the storm and snow we were officially SNOWED in today. Although I hated to miss work, it was great to get caught up on things around the house and to spend the day with my family.

By the way - today it has been 14 years since Joel and I started dating!!! How cool is that? Yes, I know that it may be cheesy to remember it but I do and each year I enjoy telling Joel how fun it is has been to date, get married, have kids and still date each other!

So - here are the pictures of the snow, sledding and Super Bowl party. The two babies are my two friends' girls that are about 3 months a part - Anna and Audry are just adorable!

Oh My Goodness!!!!! Your area has been hit hard. I'm so glad you can still be happy with all that snow. I probably wouldn't be! After this past year struggling with all the snow going to and from Taos, I'm so glad Stacie's family moved to warm Texas!

I have to admit though, one of the best times I've ever had was when we all stepped outside your home in Pagosa Springs and snow mobiled all day. That's probably the wildest this girl ever got! Don't Laugh!!!

Have a great time! Stay warm and drink lots of hot cocoa.

Love,
Mayrene
